I am user of OAC and always used the VS2005, as soon as I migrated to VS2008, I feel that the VS2008 takes a long time to open the User Controls. The waiting time is usually 1 minutes, already formatted the machine and reinstalled VS2008, along with the OAC, but not resolved.

How can I solve this problem, I have a lot lost of productivity with this type of problem.

This issue has been never reported before. Actually our tests didn't show any dramatic change performance-wise opening the OAC designer on VS2008 vs VS2005.

Can you please tell us what is the typical content of those controls in your project (the ones that take 1 minute until the designer is open). Do you have any logic on the constructor?

Even in a virtual PC with 1GB of memory, an OAC with more than 50 child controls (labels, textboxes, buttons, listboxes, panels, ListViews, ComboBoxes) takes around 25 secs to fully load the OAC VS2008 designer in default layout. In a plain UserControl supporting Localization, the same content will take around 15 secs.

What is the loading time of a UserControl with the same content on your VS2008 installation? (Try changing the base clase of your OAC to UserControl and see how long it takes to load it).
